Happy Anniversay!

It's hard to believe that a year has flown by so quickly. A year ago today I met my sweetie Rob!

So how are we celebrating?  I'm working on my art resume and portfolio for an upcoming gallery mixer-match event, while he cleans out closets to make room for me to move in!  Lovely photo ops these aren't.  So instead I'll show photos of a wonderful trip we took to Victoria, B.C. earlier this year, for one of Rob's annual hockey tournaments.

We stayed at the Victoria Regent Hotel, right on the bay.  This was the view out our many windows:

And the view inside of our magnificent two bedroom suite that we shared with some of the other hockey teammates.  Notice the cutie on the couch!

Victoria is a great walking city.  I loved out free time taking in the feel of the city.

Some of Victoria's colorful old architecture.

Click on the bicycle below for a close-up view - this bike is wearing a sweater!

Taking in the old world charm, you suddenly remember you're in a different country.

Who knows how to make their government buildings sooooo beautiful!?

The super fabulous Victoria Bug Museum - Every second grader needs to take a field trip there!
And now for the main event.  Hockey in Canada!

Robbie and our roomies
World class skating arenas!
The team on ice, warming up.
It was a good tournament for the team.  They lost the first game but won the next two.  I had a blast getting to know the guys better - they've got some very creative intellectuals and inventors on the team - fascinating conversations off the ice!  And now,  to close, a bit of hockey humor:

SCORE!!!

Paint-o-rama!!!  Not only did my sweetie take me to the estate sale where we found this amazing stash of craft acrylic paints, he also bargained and got them for a steal!  Noramally I think they run for around $2 a pop when they're on sale at Michael's so the red box on the left alone is worth $72.  Multiply that by 6 and we're looking at $432.00 worth of paint.  For the estate sale the whole lot of them was priced at $124.00.  My man got them a grand total of $28!!!  My man!!!  xoxo!

(Now where do I put them all???)
